I have experience with both primary and secondary school children, and would be interested in developing more workshops in drawing or textiles. From September 2009 I will be working with year 7 children in a school one day a week, so I am currently planning workshops based around textiles and embroidery.

My Work What makes my work unique is not the subject matter, but my lively and creative approach to drawing. Since graduating from university I have been working in schools to promote more freedom in drawing styles. Some of my personal favourite drawings are those that have begun form a quick sketch, so are not too planned or structured. There is an emphasis on mark making in my work, which I achieve by experimenting with materials. My current favourite subject is birds and animals, for which I draw inspiration from my own photography taken at zoos and bird sanctuaries.
